The Resort is situated on the coast of beautiful Beqa lagoon, just 40 minutes drive from Suva and 2.5 hours drive from Nadi. Located absolute beachfront on what is arguably Fiji’s longest white sandy beach.

The interiors are fresh with white backgrounds interlaced with rich browns, reds and creams and finished with high quality fabrics, leather and wood. Oversized day beds, comfy sofas, and large coffee tables are scattered throughout the resort for guests to lounge back and enjoy, whilst taking in the views of the beach, river and gardens.

The dynamics of the hotel are relaxation, adventure and a place to unwind. The fully licensed restaurants and bars overlook the pool, lush gardens, the beach and river.

As well as ocean and garden view rooms, The Pearl offers six individually themed Penthouse Suites. The Penthouse collection rooms are elegantly appointed, with imported furnishings and are spacious and unique. Three Penthouse Suites are ocean facing – Indian, Oriental and French Provencial – and three are garden facing – Moody Blues, Red Passion and Sand & Surf.

The Pearl South Pacific has an Events Centre for conferences specially built for infotainment and entertainment. Located at the front entrance of the Resort, the Events Bure has been designed for the absolute privacy of guests. Just a 5 minutes stroll from the Resort’s main building, overlooking the lily filled pond, the Events Bure has the flexibility to seat groups of 10 through to 100 people.

A newly built high-tech multi-media room is located within the main complex & offers comfort & privacy for intimate meetings or presentations. Easily converted into a cinema, this multi-purpose room seats up to 20 people u-shape or 10 cinema style.

Owned by Mr Eddie Phillips, the resort’s design can be described as laid back, contemporary, and in a boutique style. The resort owners are constantly adding and tweaking the interiors of the venue, most recently redesigning the lobby bar with a large, impressive wall sculpture dominating the area behind the bar.

”Ideas and concepts in the past have engaged consultants but the most recent were completed by ideas and concepts derived from experience within the industry with what worked ergonomically and matching of colours, light to blend between day and night,” explained Natalie Marletta, executive assistant manager.

When asked if there were any obstacles, incidents or elements that had to be taken into account when redesigning, she replied ‘Fiji’!

The aim was to create a contemporary feel that is based on simplistic uncluttered design and art pieces using stark interior colours that will not draw from the stunning natural beauty of the sand, sea and sky.

Special features incorporated into the project include all natural elements – stone, wood, earth colours – in a contrasting form that has a strong delineation between inside and out, day and night ambience experiences, in all closed and open spaces from restaurants to the bars to the foyers to the rooms to the pool to the beach.

”Mother nature never clashed a colour scheme,” added Natalie.
