Australian Monitor's DMA-1 Delivers a 'Big Statement' in Commercial Message

Australian Monitor's DMA-1 is a compact but extremely powerful message storage and playback device, designed to integrate seamlessly with commercial PA systems and paging networks.

This sophisticated new device utilises a standard SD card for the storage of messages, which are saved as MP3 files via your computer. Up to 255 different messages or tracks can be stored on the card and replayed via on-board Play, Fast Forward, Rewind and Stop buttons, which can also be actioned from remote switches via the remote port.

Users can also trigger the first eight messages via contact closure and the DMA-1 will allow RS485 serial control for full access to all recorded messages. With Stereo in and Stereo out lines, the DMA-1 can be inserted across a background music feed and will duck the background program when a message is triggered.

The sleek DMA-1 also features an on-board 2 channel (20W/channel) Class D amp, so it can be a standalone system or can be bridged to provide a single 40W amplifier. Ducking levels, Output level, EQ and I hour loop function can also be set via the configuration file on the SD card. These parameters can easily be implemented using the DMA-1 software suite, which is available as a free download from the Australian Monitor website.

The DMA-1's compact size belies the wealth and sheer variety of features it offers. This highly innovative, cost effective storage and playback device has a host of commercial applications.
