JR at Newstead Brewing Company

Working for beer, Newstead Brewing Co was the brainchild of Michael Conrad and his partners, having learnt his trade as the owner of some of Brisbane’s finest restaurants including Two Small Rooms and Bistro Three he started one of Brisbane’s finest craft breweries.

The brewery takes it’s name after from first location, a 1940’s steel warehouse built by Skennars Coaches on Doggett St Newstead. This venue that was fitted out by James Richardson’s in 2010 and takes on a wonderfully tranquil, comfortable vibe with lashings of industrial robustness with lots of shinny brewing tanks.

As the business has grown and expanded its distribution interstate it became time for Newstead Brewing Co to expand its brewing facilities with a new and exciting venue only a beer barrel roll away at Castlemaine St Milton. This new location across the road from Suncorp Stadium has a contemporary feel with a similar food, wine and beer offering to their spiritual home at Newstead but the tanks are a lot larger and a little more shinier. These large vats and timber barrels at the back of the main restaurant at Milton draws you in like its calling your name… the sight of beer rolling off the production line makes you think, that just possibly, might have died and gone to heaven… Then the smells and aromas from the kitchen draws your attention with some of Brisbane’s finest steaks rolling out the kitchen doors.

Milton’s delicious food, fantastic location, on trend comfortable industrial styling has been met with a full house since opening.
