New from Designer Rugs

Bold, sophisticated and demanding attention, Designer Rugs is thrilled to reveal their latest collaboration collection with internationally acclaimed set decorator, Kerrie Brown. A collection of four intricately detailed hand-knot rugs, her dynamic overlaid design technique draws on aesthetics from European art, 18th and 19th Century motifs and street art styles.

Launching on the 16th of August, Kerrie’s collaborative project with Designer Rugs has allowed her to explore a new and exciting design dimension, translating her digital collage design style into a stunning collection of rugs influenced by her experience working on film set decoration. It was her bold and wonderful approach to design that initially sparked Designer Rugs MD, Yosi Tal’s desire to collaborate with Kerrie, having been drawn to the wild range of fabrics and wallpapers showcased in her Woollahra store when driving past one day back in late 2014.

Her luminous colour palette presents four gritty, abstract, graphic designs that are layered with incredible detail to work well as statements piece for both commercial and domestic settings. Kerrie commented on her eclectic designs “I have a camera’s eye to design rather than a textile designer’s eye. The camera loves layer upon layer of pattern and that is how I see the world now. I love to take traditional images and mess with them, and give them an unexpected twist.”

All designs can be custom shaped, sized and coloured to suit any interior.
