Prototype recently completed the custom re-upholstery of over 400 seats for the diners at Brisbane’s award-winning bay side club, Redlands Sporting Club. The popular club offers a range of sporting activities from bowls to karate as well as function rooms and a range of dining options.

The lively atmosphere of this venue boasts bold lighting, a casino feel, and a vibrant colour palette. The once overpowering plain red chairs have since been replaced by upholstery that mimics the bright, geometric style of the venue’s interior design and structural elements for a unified look.

The existing tub chairs were upholstered by Prototype in a navy, sunset orange, and wasabi green colour pallet. The majority of the chairs were covered in the demure navy upholstery, while the others provided orange and green accents around the venue.

All of the chairs were upholstered with a block colour seat and a geometric floral-inspired pattern on the backrest. The navy chairs had matching plain navy seats, while the orange and green backrest chairs featured a simple charcoal seat. These tub chairs were covered in high quality Australian fabrics, with the desired pattern chosen by the client.

These custom reupholstered tub chairs blend perfectly with the palette and the personality of the community venue. The recent re-upholstery with new and durable fabrics has also ensured the longevity of the chairs.
