A.N.I.D’s reputation for producing high quality finishes is definitely on display in their latest project, 1001 Nights. This modern interpretation of a classic Middle Eastern restaurant is located in the bayside village of Mt Eliza. The biggest challenge was to incorporate two juxtaposed schemes, the seaside ideal of light and airy coastal colours with the traditional boldness of a Middle Eastern restaurant. This was achieved by using a sophisticated

palate of light gold, brass, silver, the occasional hint of blue, coupled with dark timber floors and stained American Oak tables edged in brass. Also designed to serve coffee during the day, the café area has a stained timber counter and metallic finishes that complete the contemporary interpretation.
