Make your way down a grungy lane, in the heart of Melbourne, to the resting place of a little planet - 24 Moons.

The venue is called 24 Moons due to the fact it only ha a two year lease, after that they move on elsewhere.
The creators have outdone themselves with this place, making nature from urban ingredients and breathing an evolving life force into a night time domain.

The design has been executed with the most innovative precision. It is a collaboration of
experienced industry minds – Marcus Motteram, Simon Digby, Boris von Rechenberg and Michael Christadolou. The collaborative design team includes- Alex Earl (Alex Earl Lighting), Adam Hawryszko (Globe Consolidated), Sheila Mackey (Monk Design) and Richard (Vogue Upholstery).

The space is includes a cool forest motif and the sounds of birds chirping as you enter the slightly enchanting space.

The contemporary interior has dimly lit silhouetted wall panels and light box converted windows. This creates a forest like environment, complete with mild moonlight and the song of birds and insects.

Strangely it rolls nature into urban, creating an intimate and warm environment which is completely
where it’s at.

In tune with the concept of an interactive artwork in itself, nothing on the floor space is fixed. Therefore even the soft furnishing seating arrangement is ever changing.

Even further depth is added to the space by two projectors and part sheer-screens. This provides separate areas in which to roam or hide in the modern woods.

The eclectic mix of music, creative performance, and sound and vision pieces enriches the life and movement of the space.

Bee Amuludun, general manager, has introduced a contemporary programme including sound and vision through laptop artists, edgy vocalization, spoken word and storytelling, burlesque and more.

For audio the venue has Martin Audio F12 speakers mid high boxes together with Martin Audio S18 sub bass speakers. All amplification is via QSC Audio PLX series amplifiers and DSP processing from QSC Audio. DJ mixer is an Allen & Heath Xone 62.
