The Hecker Guthrie team drew on some of the ideas from the first BB/HG collaboration in Darlinghurst – such as the colour datum wall and the painted floor patterning and then took the festive and fluro message to the next level for the BBC collaboration.

Skulls and skate meets sangria in a space where the walls are lined with pattern, colour, breeze blocks and shipping pallets.

Hecker Guthrie drew on the idea of the pergola – a room within a room – a device to make the space more intimate and of course hang a myriad of planters and paper flowers in the truly Mexican way.
