The owners were seeking to develop a sophisticated yet unpretentious cocktail bar that allowed clients to escape the busy reality of fast paced Brunswick Street below.

The design was to be intimate and cosy, with lots of texture aimed at developing a sense of comfort and relaxation – an environment coaxing relaxed casual meetings, conversation and a sense of fun.

The pressed metal ceilings provided a palette of nostalgia and charm – and painted in gold added a hint of eccentricity, perfectly offsetting the buildings historic charm.

Vintage recycled lighting (sourced by the owners) subtly, yet evocatively adds to the décor, highlighting the classic features of the bar and completes the ambiance of Damask perfectly.
