peckvonhartel was selected by Genki Sushi to provide an innovative design approach for their new premises in the Tuggeranong Hyperdome. The new premises act as a flagship store which will be used to rollout the brand in new locations across Canberra.

The concept for Genki Sushi was to highlight the art form of Sushi and Japanese culture and to be warm and welcoming to potential customers. peckvonhartel designed a new icon, logo and menu that reflected this concept and reinforced the Genki Sushi brand. This rebranding successfully provided an environment that showcases and highlights the quality of the food and menu.

The design assists in supporting lunch time dining, take away and the corporate catering
collection.

The layout was required to be highly efficient due to space constraints and the variety of activities that are performed in the space.

The lighting solution was used to define areas and highlight the different aspects of the food, particularly the counters containing the sushi.

peckvonhartel employed a number of creative strategies to maximise the design whilst minimising the budget. Cost effective materials that delivered a high impact were used throughout the design to give a striking result.
