The bar is based on the owners trip around Jamaica last year. They flew into Kingston and drove around the Island anti-clockwise. So when you enter their bar and look around anti-clockwise there are the exact areas where they stopped on their trip.

The poor run down areas from Kingston to Boston Bay are reflected in the small tables along the window, the tables they made out of old doors, the lights are made out of old washing machine drums and you have corrugated iron and corro, which they make all of their houses and shops out of.

Then they went onto a place called Oho Rios which is where all the tourists stay. This area has elaborate resorts and cocktail bars and so this area is reflected in the bar area with an abundance of fruit, rum and happy bartenders.

Then you go to a place called Negril. Negril is on the West coast of Jamaica and is very laid back with crystal clear waters and beautiful sunsets. This is the booth area, with its relaxed low seating and bright blue wall.

Lastly there is Montego bay, a large beach town with great night spots, plenty to do and places to eat out but with a very relaxed atmosphere. The outdoor area reflects Mo bay with two large photos from the area itself on our adjoining wall, decking under trees and a perfectly chilled space to eat drink or dance.

All of the colours, material used and overall design is based on the trip and what they saw. Recycled timber and up-cycled old equipment has been used and turned it into some things you wouldn’t imagine.
