Picket furniture and lighting by Derlot Editions

Inspired by the hawker markets of Singapore, the night markets of Hong Kong, the Izakayas of Tokyo and the street carts of Bangkok, the team behind Alfred and Constance, Alfredo’s Pizzeria and Chester Street Bakery bring you Kwan Brothers. It’s an Asiana mushup with street meets karaoke meets bling.

The venue is in an existing warehouse that formally operated as Chinese noodle factory. The name Kwan Brothers is a nod to the former tenants Kwan Wo.

The layout is based on the kitchen team requirements on making the kitchen and bar hero.

The aim was a raw feel inclduing an 18m concrete bar cast on site with touches of gold bling through the chairs and stools.

The colour scheme and textural qualities are a reference to street art and Asian neon typical of those parts of the world. There’s neon, neon and more neon, feels likr you are having a dinner and drink on the streets of HK or Singapore.

Unusual elements include the hidden bar behind an original cold room door and a 24m x 4m high mural.

Alexander Lotersztain designed a range of gold furniture for the interior including, chairs, stools, tables and lighting. The collection is called Picket and is available from his company Derlot.
