Mundo Churrasco open flame Restaurant + Bar is Brisbane’s first “Churrascaria”. A new concept restaurant from Brazil whereby a plethora of barbequed meats are offered on large skewers. These are cut and served at your table in an “all-you-can-eat” format.

The interior created by Inaspace Architecture + Design is an eclectic mix of finishes and materials including Brazilian granite and artefacts imported by the restaurant owners. The fabrics used in the furniture upholstery and the use of recycled timber create a warm atmosphere consistent with the interiors of traditional Brazilian ‘Churrascarias’.

Unique Camphor Laurel pendants by Darcy Clarke define the ‘Caipirinha’ cocktail bar and Lounge area and compliment the warm, inviting ‘feel’ of the interior. Decorative metal screens and antique rusty wrought iron/timber lights pay tribute to Brazilian colonial cattle farms.

A large window was created to the kitchen as a focal point for the restaurant to display the theatre of Brazilian ‘churrasco’ (barbeque). Bright red is used extensively throughout the interior and bold graphics as a reference to the burning red coals of the BBQ.

Inaspace Architecture + Design collaborated with the landlord’s architects, Ellivo Architects to transform what was essentially a small outdoor area into a large, welcoming and practical indoor/outdoor space able to cater for live entertainment and separate functions. Digital Pop was engaged by the client as the branding, marketing, and management consultant.
