“Playful memorabilia references cinema whilst avoiding clichéd imagery.”

A full refurbishment of an existing museum cafe into an all day drinking and eating destination, with a strong fresh food focus. The brief was to create a warm, inviting and comfortable space which would appeal equally to the mid morning coffee crowd, families visiting ACMI, cinema goers and after work drinkers.

The main focal point of the large space is the bar which has been designed to maximise food and beverage output, with a strong emphasis on product display. Different seating types and configurations means the space adapts easily whether catering to those looking for quick refreshment or those looking for a more formal dining experience.
