The Redlands Sporting Club has recently undergone a colourful renovation of its main bistro area to include an elaborate ceiling feature. What was once a plain ceiling sprinkled with down lights, is now an intricate overhead detail. Suspended at varying heights are over 40 individual cylindrical pendants, covered in ruched silk. The pendants aim to create an air of understated opulence with soft organic ruffles that have been hand pleated.

Each light varies in size, colour and height, and have been grouped together in a random clustered fashion.

The lighting is on a fully automated control system, which allows luminance levels to be manipulated throughout the day. This ensures an appropriate amount of illumination at all times and is perfect for achieving mood lighting. The gold and red tones of the silk pendants
further enhance the rooms soft atmospherics.

The bulkhead that skirts the perimeter of the dining area and the central recess that houses the colourful pendants have been painted out in warm neutral tones. This gives the illusion of a lowered ceiling, creating a comfortable, personal dining environment.

At ground level screening systems have been installed to divide the Bistro and Steak House which sit alongside each other. They utilize rich wood grains which inject a feeling of comfort and simple heartedness. Surrounding walls have also been painted out in earthy
neutral tones to compliment the ceiling feature and wooden details.

Satelight Ruffle

With loose folds of fabric, the Ruffle Collection has an understated opulence. The organic lines of the fittings are designed to soften an environment, by providing a textured, illuminated ambience.
