Our design brief was to create a ‘refuge’ from the daily grind. A venue where people can sit, relax and call a second home. Housed in a former urban transit station, we embraced the industrial workshop aesthetic to talk of the mechanics of beer-making and, particularly, craft beer making.
It’s a hands-on business, so the workshop elements provided instant identity. Founded by four mates who love beer, the focus of the venue was to be a second home where a strong beer and food offering could be savoured. We incorporated relaxed and somewhat nostalgic elements into the design, with our studio team constantly putting themselves in the space and chasing that feeling of familiarity and comfort.
