The Renegades Cafe & Wine Bar is located on the corner of Bourke and Coward St in Mascot.

The weird shaped space encouraged U+I Building Studio to create different zones with various seating arrangements suitable for all day dining and drinks. Patrons can watch the hustle and bustle at the front counter while sitting on the banquet seating or the large timber table and benches. Or relax in the armchairs and sofas in the quieter rear part of the cafe that opens to the balcony.

To achieve a bright and inviting atmosphere the materials have been minimised to predominantly concrete and plywood. Acoustic comfort is ensured by mixing acoustic ceiling panels with solid plywood ceiling panels. Also the furniture was selected to harmonize with the plywood surfaces.

An eye-catching point of difference are the bold orange splashbacks and the graffiti artwork winding through the space.

Acoustic Ceiling Panels

Supacoustic Panels by Supawood are architects and acoustic consultants preferred choice for wall and ceiling panels with excellent sound absorption.
