The interior design concept at St George Motor Boat Club was inspired by club’s waterfront location. The aim of the team of interior designers at Split Watermelon Design was to create an interior that fuses the pristine landscape outside of the club with the inside, creating a light and airy space that evokes the club’s nautical connection.

Through a colour scheme of blues, crisp whites and timeless greys, the theme is classic and blends with the surrounding views. The timber finishes, textured fabrics and patterned elements make the palette fresh, warm and interesting.

The primary carpet was custom designed for the club using cool tones and wavelike patterns, while the bistro carpet design is less intricate and takes inspiration from the round windows replicating the existing “porthole” design.

The interiors have been meticulously custom designed to suit the space and its idyllic setting, by re inventing the existing and creating a perfectly balanced mix of style, comfort and timelessness.
