Just as showy as the bird it takes its’ name from is the latest addition to Melbourne’s rooftop bar scene - the Emeral Peacock.

The second venture from the guys who gave us Red Hummingbird, Emerald Peacock is inspired by the majestic peacock and old-world glamour, full of elegant fabrics, striking retro details and decadent cocktails.

The interiros are designed by Sharan Sagoo and Kevin Singh who are the directors of the company and the peacock inspiration is everywhere. A large peacock mural perches by the entrance and the main lounge features elaborate peacock-themed wallpaper.

Adding to the decadence are plush velvet ottomans, ornate poufs, private booths and lounge chairs. Recycled wood, vintage wallpapers, and eclectic fabrics complete the picture.

As well as the Peacock Lounge, the venue houses a Retro Dining Area plastered with vintage alcohol branded wallpaper and prints of yesteryear depicting a number of the world’s cities.

There’s also a Cocktail Lounge adorned with French foil wallpaper and chunky irregular wood panels that create depth and character with the backdrop of deliberately rusted beams to add a feeling of industrial boldness.

Destined to be a main attraction is the rooftop bar which has views over the Melbourne city skyline. The surrounds celebrate all that is nature with chunky, recycled woods, russet and earthy hues working with the yolk of the sun and the flicker of candle light.
