Multicoloured timber slatted chairs were sourced from Barebones Artspace in Byron Bay. Other furniture included a multitude of various coloured chairs, coloured timber tables and beach ball lamps. It even included beach towels draped over balustrades. The new interiors relied on an explosion of flamboyant colours and curiosity.
The chandeliers were designed by Paul Burnham and assembled by stage set design and construction company,
Plumb Construction who also contributed their own light designs, sea anemone lamps and wall and floor graphics.
The success of the design relied on achieving a striking and inspired interior which would appeal to a broad
demographic, especially inclusive of beach goers and families. The space is designed to convey a sense of fun and to engage the customers in a carnival of whimsy and colour.
Clancy's Fish Bar is a place that doesn't take itself too seriously, it is somewhere to walk into straight off the beach for a plate of fish & chips and an ice cold beer - very Australian.
