Optimising Gaming Layouts in Gaming Room Design

When someone is comfortable and feels like they are being looked after, they are more likely to stay where they are rather then move somewhere else. Creating an environment that satisfies your gaming patrons’ needs for privacy, intimacy and comfort, will lead to better profits for you.

Here are some important points to consider in your Gaming Room Design.

Privacy
Patrons don’t want to feel like others are watching them while they play the pokies, nor do they want to feel as though a person near them can see exactly what they are doing. Clever Gaming Room Design will offer individuals privacy while also providing the opportunity for groups of two or three to play together. The Gaming Room Design should also offer multiple entrances and exits. Some patrons feel intimidated by others noticing when they enter and leave the Gaming Room.

Comfort
The more comfortable people are, the longer they will stay!

Gaming Room Design should always provide comfortable seating. Good ventilation and climate control (not to hot/not to cold) are other important aspects of Gaming Room Design. Another great idea in your Gaming Room, is to offer drink service and convenient amenities so patrons don’t feel at risk of losing their machine or breaking a winning streak. The Gaming Room Design should also include a designated gaming attendant area so patrons know where to find someone for assistance, if needed and have attendants who can provide an optimum customer service experience.

Lighting
Lighting is a powerful tool if used well. The right lighting will encourage patrons to enter the Gaming Room, it will reduce player fatigue and will encourage Gaming players to stay longer.

The first step in lighting the Gaming Room is to illuminate the entry, all passageways and aisles. A well lit Gaming Room creates a feeling of calm. Avoid placing direct light over players or machines unless it is specifically directed onto a wall. By reducing glare in the Gaming Room, you reduce player fatigue. Use recommended fittings such as downlights or indirect lighting in which the source is hidden, such as neon, LED or fluorescent strip lights.

When lighting a Gaming Room, bear in mind how much light each gaming machine will emit on its own. Flashing lights, bright screens and dancing buttons are already in play before you add any other lights. Keep ambient lighting to a minimum in the Gaming Room so as not to detract from the machines. Similarly, avoid using chasing lights that also compete for attention with the Gaming machines.

With the help an interior architect who understands Gaming Room Design you too can profit by design.
