Emu Shade

A family of canopies and outdoor umbrellas created by EMU’s own research centre jointly with the French designer Christophe Pillet.

This large-scale and ambitious project is the result of exceptional technological research that was able to develop a system of balances and levers to facilitate opening and closing to an extraordinary reach.

Ideal for porticoes and verandas for residential and hospitality use, the Shade collection combines anodised aluminium and polyester to survive the toughest conditions all the while retaining superior strength and ease in maintenance.

Quality, toughness and beauty make these umbrellas the perfect accessories for completing outdoor areas, in restaurants, hotels and cafes.  The collapsed structure, when not in use, is visually discrete and immaculately contained.

Available in several sizes with a choice of lateral or central pole.

• With a side pole cantilever: 3m & 4m squares.
• With a central column: 2.5m hexagonal.

Taupe and Black available for the smaller sizes.

As far as concerns the bases and floor-tiles, EMU has developed two additional options made of granite and equipped with handy supports (handles for the tiles and grips in the bases to make moving them easier).

This is not your average shade option, this is an umbrella collection that is manufactuered to such exacting European standards.
