Who designed it?
The creative design idea of Matt Derrick from Seventh Sense Consulting focused on transforming Strathmore Hotel into a more contemporary restaurant with leafy natural look environment ensuring that the ambiance maintained its class. "The carpet was inspired by the leafy natural surrounds that are evident from the large surrounding windows in the balcony restaurant the original carpet and designs featured leaves and nature and we wanted to retain that but a more contemporary pallete" says Matt Derrick

Scope of works
Matt Derrick's design plan brief was presented to Whitecliffe Imports to construct and manufacture a bespoke yet contemporary carpet that would reflect the local atmosphere. Whitecliffe Imports provided extensive design archives showing the leafy motif, colour prints, and customized carpet sampling for the balcony restaurant and bar lounge to enable the client to see the actual carpet as it would be laid on the ground.

Product Information
The carpet engineering consideration for this project is made from 100% polyamid HTW AP1050 with 300 gram Filz. Furthermore, this HTW Custom broadloom carpet was opted for its capacity to produce a design in keeping with the original and contemporary direction the venue had decided, fast to produce including manufactured and delivery direct from Germany in the space of 6 weeks from order place, cost effective, and flexible.
