Whitecliffe Imports supplies 1,242 m² of carpet for Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane

Suncorp Stadium is the home of Rugby League in Queensland and is one of Australia's leading rectangular stadiums with a capacity of 52,500. The venue hosts many major sporting events each year such as Rugby League, Rugby Union and Football. It has also been the first choice for international entertainment for concerts including Bon Jovi, U2, Andre Rieu, The Police and Robbie Williams.

Creative Design Vision

The design created by Shaun Gallagher, focused on creating a tasteful combination of colours that reflected the home colours of the three teams that are based at the Stadium, the Maroon (Rugby Union) the Broncos (Rugby League) and Brisbane Roar (football).

Suncorp's brief was delivered to Whitecliffe Imports to engineer and manufacture the stylish and contemporary carpet. The desired effect was to lift the aesthetics, lower the maintenance costs, and withstand high foot traffic.

Whitecliffe Imports provided a fully integrated project management service to the client for the refurbishment. This included the use of the HTW's hospitality design service, large sampling, 100x100cm and Whitecliffe also supervised the site measurement and installation process.

HTW Arcade 630 100% Nylon 300gram with attached felt underlay was chosen to fulfill the brief and was subsequently installed in the corridor and concourse area.
