Hotel's owners flag $6m extension
The owners of Olims Hotel are seeking approval for a $6million extension to the Canberra landmark that would almost double its capacity. The proposed redevelopment would add a four-storey wing with 125 rooms at the rear of the complex on the site of the current car park.
The hotel's general manager Brook Paulka said the proposal was still in the planning stage. "The owner has lodged an application to do some extensions to the back of the hotel but there is actually no plans to go ahead with the development he just wants to see if he can get it through," Mr Paulka said.
