Grand Hyatt premium floors open for business
The Grand Hyatt Melbourne has announced the interior redesign of its premium suites and facilities on its Club floors—the top seven floors—is complete and ready for guests to experience.
As well as lavish fit outs the refurbishment program has included green initiatives that allow the hotel to extend its water-and energy-saving program. It's estimated the new measures will reduce energy use by 1,131KwH per day, resulting in a reduction of 1,105 tonnes of carbon emissions per year, and a saving of 9,840 litres of water per day.
The hotel’s complete interior redesign program started in October last year and all 546 rooms will be complete by 2011. Following a design concept from renowned designer Joseph Pang, the project is being completed floor by floor to allow the hotel to continue to operate with minimal disruption to guests.
The brand new room design concept is aimed at enhancing the hotel’s Melbourne city views including the positioning of the new custom made beds to face the floor-to-ceiling windows. As well the newly redesigned Grand Club lounge on the 31st floor has panoramic city and river views.
