New range from Designer Rugs

Our creative Senior Designers, Christine McDonald and Lia Pielli who are responsible for many of Designer Rugs successful collaborations have put their names and vision behind our latest range PAVEMENT.

The designs are inspired by what we observe from the PAVEMENT; underfoot, alongside, farther afield and above. With a focus on loosely structured worn organic repetition, a play on materials and piles, PAVEMENT brings together rhythm and fabulous texture within its 14 designs which seemingly spill over the edges of the rugs. The colour pallet is based on industrial hues; a juxtaposition of the urban
landscape in all its contrast.

Designs Kazakhstan and Spindle incorporate a repetitive motif suggestive of underfoot mosaic tiling. The Tower design draws inspiration from alongside the pavement by incorporating visual elements from looking up at a sky scrapper, while the patterns on Leon replicates precast concert blocks used in 1920's architecture for screening. Looking out past the pavement Liberty's simple sketch line in a viscose loop pile showcases a field of flowers, while Tea Garden depicts daisies viewed through a pressed metal fence.

Kyoto Lines has taken inspiration from Japan's urban sprawl by transforming a photograph of erratic electricity lines and poles onto a plush woollen pile.

Each rug is handmade and comes in standard sizes of 170cm x 240cm, 200 x300 cm and can be custom made in any size or colour you desire including hall runners and wall to wall carpet to suit your residential or commercial space. The RRP is $1990.00 (170cm x 240cm) and $2940.00 (200cm x300cm).
