Haron Robson at the Hamilton Island Yacht Club
The Hamilton Island Yacht Club,
designed by the celebrated Australian
architect Walter Barda, is set to become
an icon across the domestic and
international landscape, reflecting a
distinctive and authentic Australian style.
Importantly, they are set to further define
Hamilton Island as an Australian and
international boating mecca.
From the very outset the idea was
always to produce something in keeping
with the region and the nautical theme that
would serve all the practical needs of a
world-class sailing facility, but also make
a bold statement, and already, the yacht
club is a huge talking point. The yacht club
is an outstanding addition to the island
and one which guests will be able to utilise
on a daily basis. It has conference rooms,
restaurants, wedding facilities as well as a
gym and pool. There is also 35 villas which
will be privately owned, but with potential
to be available as accommodation.
The Villas that accompany the Hamilton
Island Yacht Club reflect Barda’s vision
of an informal ambience and beauty that
makes the most of the unique island
setting. They symbolise the new vision for
Hamilton Island.
“We are committed to hiring experts and
letting them do their job” says Bob Oatley.
Haron Robson's lighting studio - lightmatters® used
subtle lighting techniques to create and
amazing atmosphere at the Yacht Club,
providing a nautical themes with effect
of moving light. When at the Yacht Club
in the island night, you are unable to see
anything surrounding the club except stars,
a truly amazing experience.
