Recently opened Crazy Wings restaurant in Chatswood offers diners a sleek, new and authentically Chinese setting to enjoy Beijing street style fare.

Situated within Chatswood’s Eat Street dining precinct, the Crazy Wings venue has been designed to provide diners with a fresh, lively location to enjoy kao chuan, or Chinese barbeque skewers. Designed by Samuel Cui from V & H Design, the look for Crazy Wings combines simple and modern design with rich, traditional Chinese elements. The result is a casual feel with a buzzing atmosphere, which reflects China’s hawker food culture – where kao chuan was popularized over a century ago.

Featuring a main dining room, outdoor area and a separate bar, Crazy Wings offers a diverse set of spaces with a cohesive Chinese design theme throughout. Engraved sandstone walls and wooden furniture evoke a street feel, while red lanterns and traditional Chinese artifacts are used to recreate the vibrant hawker lifestyle. A distinctive wooden door centerpiece at the back of the restaurant gives authenticity. An additional bamboo screen populated with “post it” messages and polariod shots from customers adds a playful and intimate touch to the venue.

Expanding from its first location in Chinatown, Crazy Wings in Chatswood is the second branch of its kind to open in Australia.
