White Chalk Interiors designed the Hotel Tivoli to establish a unique pub and bar crossover standard in the Adelaide hospitality industry. The brief received from Preston Bar Group director Piers Schmidt was to create a striking and opulent space not commonly associated with a traditional pub whilst remaining warm and inviting with an appeal to all ages.
A classic modern approach was suggested. i.e. use classic design elements in a modern way. The hotel is heritage listed so there were certain restrictions that needed to be adhered to, however White Chalk embraced the heritage design and successfully contemporised the traditional.
White Chalk have layered a multi faceted combination of products to achieve a space that is sexy, classy and glamorous. White Chalk Interiors has successfully designed three other projects fro the Preston Bar Group and so they had free reign over the design fit out.
"This hotel was a fantastic space to create for design," said Serena Elise, White Chalk's owner. "We have achieved exactly what we wanted and the client is thrilled. Good clients make the best for the best projects and this hotel certainly proves that!"
