The building had seen many renovations over the years and had lost its sense of history and connection with the local community. The concept was to create a modern venue, which catered for everyone and had strong links with the community and local vernacular.

This concept is reflected in the venue through custom designed elements including the beer fonts, tile patterned bar front, recycled timber built in seating, horse head art panels, custom printed cushions and privacy screens, large automated blinds with a digitally printed artwork which references the original landscape of the area, all these aspects work together subtly to form a cohesive feel.

The builder and all sub contractors were local and there was a real community spirit on site during a construction process that was at times very challenging.  This venue is a perfect example of how a local community can work together to create great outcomes.
